. Course 80114 may be substituted for course 80112. For Chemistry students double majoring in Earth Sciences, courses 69107 and 69163 may be substituted for courses 69135 and 69167 (Introduction to Chemistry and Physical Chemistry). If there is a difference in the number of credits between a course(s) for students in the Department of Chemistry that may be substituted for a course(s) in the Department of Earth Sciences, Chemistry students do not have to make up the difference. For Mathematics students double majoring in Earth Sciences, courses 80131 and 80133 may be substituted for courses 80110 and 80109 (Mathematics). If there is a difference in the number of credits between a course(s) for students in the Department of Mathematics that may be substituted for a course(s) in the Department of Earth Sciences, Mathematics students do not have to make up the difference. Note to students: A student doing a minor outside of Earth Sciences but in the Faculty of Science must ask the secretary of the respective department (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) whether or not the courses listed in track 6014 are interchangeable with the parallel courses in the respective minor. For example, students doing a minor in Physics must take the first-year courses in physics and mathematics as listed in the minor in physics rather than the first-year courses in physics and mathematics listed in track 6014 and then must also make up the credits towards the major in Earth Sciences by choosing courses from among the elective courses in Earth Sciences.
