Nano-Science and Nano-Technology Specialization (5602) - Master's Degree            
 

Certified study program specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology

 
In light of the great importance and the growing concern throughout the world in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and the great interest that science graduates show in this field, the Hebrew University decided to open a course of study for an accredited degree, specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Nanoscience combines different scientific disciplines, mainly chemistry, physics, medical sciences and opto-electronics. The program is aimed at outstanding students, who have the potential and motivation to continue graduate studies, and will encourage a transition to a direct path to a doctorate.
We invite graduates of chemistry, physics, integrated programs (chemistry-physics, chemistry-biology, life sciences-physics), biology, pharmacy and engineering to continue their graduate studies in the fields of nano.
The curriculum in this track reflects the multidisciplinary nature that characterizes research in the various branches of nanoscience and nanotechnology, but at the same time preserves the depth of study and specialization in the student's main field of study. The program offers three study tracks, at the end of which degrees will be awarded as follows:
      - Qualified in chemistry specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
      - Qualified in physics specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
      - Qualified in applied physics specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
- Qualified in drug sciences specializing in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Those interested in being admitted to the program will first register in the specific department (chemistry, physics, applied physics and pharmacy). After approval of admission to the department, the student will submit an application to the study committee of the program at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Master’s courses in the faculty are given in Hebrew unless a foreign student who does not speak Hebrew is taking the course. In such a case the course will be given in English.

In order to move from the first year to the second, the student must take 20 credits in the first year and graduate with an average of at least 85
